Our goal is foster business relations between Spain and the USA. Our mission is to connect Spanish and US companies and institutions, in particular in the areas of manufacturing, infrastructures and health, promoting investments and greater awareness of business opportunities.

JAVIER YRAOLA - TRADE COMMISSIONER OF SPAIN IN CHICAGO
Javier Yraola is Trade Commissioner of Spain in Chicago since September 2015. Previously, he was Director of Consumer Goods at ICEX (Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness), a post he took after four years at the Ministries of Finance and Foreign Affairs, where he held the positions of Deputy Director General for Trade and Customs Affairs. He has also served as trade Commissioner of Spain in Colombia and Central America for ten years, and early in his career he worked on European Union Issues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
JOSE LUIS BRICEÑO, DIRECTOR
José Luis Briceño, a native of Madrid, has lived in Chicago for almost eighteen years and currently serves as the director of the Department of Industry and Technology at the Trade Commission of Spain (TCS). His previous position at TCS was director of information and investment services.
TCS helps promote Spain-based enterprises seeking opportunities within the U.S. market. As the director of the department, he oversees all promotional and business development activities, as well as the market research and investment services carried out by the office.
Mr. Briceño holds a post-graduate degree as a Foreign Trade Specialist at IMAF. In addition he has a M.A. in European law and economy, and a degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
