The Chicago International Trade Commissioners’ Association (CITCA) is a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established in 1986. Managed by a Board of Directors, the association serves as a professional platform for Trade and Investment Representatives with functional jurisdiction over the Midwest region of the United States.
CITCA currently comprises over 50 officials representing a diverse global network of sovereign states, sub-national regions, separate customs territories, and trade organizations. This inclusive structure ensures a technical, trade-focused environment that accommodates a wide range of international economic mandates while adhering to established commercial standards.
As a tax-exempt entity dedicated to charitable and educational purposes, CITCA’s mission is to facilitate meaningful connections between the business community and global markets. The association supports participation in trade shows, coordinates professional trade missions, and fosters innovation partnerships to drive international growth.
