Consulate General of Mexico in Chicago
The Economic Affairs section at the Mexican Consulate oversees the trade and economic partnership between Mexico and the state of Illinois and northern Indiana. The office is responsible of the promotion of trade, investment, tourism, as well as technical and scientific cooperation. Our aim is to increase, strengthen and deepen the already dynamic economic ties between Mexico and the Midwest by identifying areas of opportunity for commercial exchange.

Rocío A. Rivera Barradas is the Consul of Economic Affairs at the Consulate General of Mexico in Chicago. She holds a PhD and a MA in International Studies from the University of Miami and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from CIDE in Mexico City. She has worked at the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
