CONSULATE GENERAL OF DENMARK – CHICAGO & THE DANISH TRADE COUNCIL
This office functions as the Consulate of Denmark, where we assist Danish citizens with consular matters (e.g. issuing new passports) and helps Danish business gain a firm foothold in the North American market. The consulate is part of the Trade Council of Denmark in North America and primarily works with business within the Food and Agriculture, Waste Water treatment, Wind Energy and Energy transition sectors as well with market entry activities across all industries.

JESPER KØKS ANDERSEN is the Consul General and Trade Commissioner of Denmark in Chicago. Jesper has the overall responsibility for the Danish Water Technology Advisory (WTA) and brings an extensive experience from previous roles within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. Having facilitated export counselling for Danish business in the U.S. and beyond for more than half a decade, he has a broad understanding of the client’s needs for market specific solutions. He has previously held the position as Global Team Leader for Water & Environment in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, he has worked with building government-to-government relations between Denmark and the U.S. with a focus on exchanging knowledge on how to reach sustainable solutions in water management.
