ECONOMIC DIVISION – TAIPEI ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL OFFICE IN CHICAGO
The Economic Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago is an overseas branch of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The Division’s service area covers 10 states in the U.S. Midwest. The mission of the Division is to promote economic relationships between Taiwan and the Midwest region of the United States to enhance bilateral trade, increase investment and engage in technology cooperation.

CHIN-SUNG CHENG, DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC DIVISION, TAIPEI ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL OFFICE IN CHICAGO
Chin-Sung Cheng serves as director of the Economic Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Chicago, which represents the Republic of China (Taiwan) in the U.S. Midwest. In this capacity, Mr. Cheng is responsible for the promotion of bilateral trade and investment relations between Taiwan and the ten Midwestern states in the Division’s jurisdiction. Before his current post Mr. Cheng previously served as industrial engineer in the Aero-Industry Development Center (1987-1993), served in a number roles at the Bureau of Foreign Trade (1993-2009). In addition, he served in the Economic Division, Frankfurt Office in Germany to promote trade and investment relationship between Taiwan and Germany (2009-2014), served as First Economic Secretary in the Office of Trade Negotiations, Ministry of Economic Affairs (2014-2015), and served as the Deputy Director of the Multilateral Trade Division, Bureau of Foreign Trade (2015-2018.1). Mr. Cheng received a Master degree in the Business Administration from National Cheng-Chi University, Taiwan.
