The Consulate's commercial mission is to promote an increase investment, trade and tourism relationship between Uruguay and the Midwest of the United States of America.
Our Consulate General will support American companies interested in investing in our country. We deeply encourage all the businesses to visit our land and know by first hand all the things that it has to offer. We will gladly offer additional information about national regulations and business environment.
Uruguay is the house of Mercosur. We are a stable country, with deep respect to democracy and international law.

MATIAS A. EUSTATHIOU – Consul General
International Analyst with a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and a Postgraduate degree in International Law. Career Diplomat from 2014, he has served as Secretary to the President of Uruguay between 2015 and 2020, assessing him particularly in Foreign Affairs. From 2014 to 2019, he worked as a Professor of the Foreign Trade Chair of the ORT Uruguay University.
He has studied in different programs of prestigious universities from North America, Europe and Latin America, such as the Harvard Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University, the Watson Institute of American Studies of Brown University, the Schulich School of Business of York University in Canada, the University of Salamanca in Spain, ORT University in Uruguay, etc.
